you'll need:
- approx 585{635, 685} yards / 535{580, 630} meters sport weight yarn, for small{medium, large} circumference sizes, sample shown here is in: Cascade 220 Sport (100% wool, Straw); 4 skeins (approx 620 yards / 567 meters used for a medium circumference)
- size US 5 (3.75mm) needles (or size to get gauge of 24 sts and 33 rows per 4 inches / 10 cm, in stockinette stitch), a circular needle 24"/60cm or longer will be good to hold all the stitches, plus 2 double pointed needles, same size or a bit smaller
- crochet hook and scrap yarn for provisional cast-on, and a cable needle (or work cables without one)
