you'll need:
- any yarn from DK weight to super bulky, 200-600 yards / 180-550 meters
- a long circular needle (32" or longer), sized to match your yarn
- optional 20-30 yards/meters yarn for contrasting bind-off
- scrap yarn to make color coded stitch markers, ideally blue, green, and red, plus one marker in yellow
