- for any weight yarn, no gauge swatch needed
- twisted stitches from the top down
- with or without buttons
- fitted or beret/slouchy styles
- with or without a pointed top
- modular sideways brim is joined as you go
- make brim in contrasting color if you like

you'll need:
- any weight yarn, 80-300 yards / 70-275 meters
- a set of double points and a 16" circular needle, sized to work with your yarn
- 2 buttons if you choose to make a buttoning brim
