Betiko by Lee Meredith
a uniquely constructed shawl (or shawlette) for any weight yarn, with customization options galore
- modular construction in 4 parts, no seaming or picked up stitches
- complete pattern for garter stitch edged version
- second pattern is customizable, for plugging in other stitch patterns, with wavy version given
- detailed instructions explain striping yarns through the sections
- measurements given for small{medium, large} sizes with notes on adjusting for custom sizes
- only a couple inches of cast-on / bind-off stitches
- original pattern was fully revised, reformatted, and improved in April 2013
- Betiko is a Basque name meaning eternal, as you can knit this shawl forever, different every time

you'll need:
- any weight yarn, for small{medium, large} sizes, approximately: 250{325, 400} yards / 230{300, 370} meters bulky; 300{425, 550} yards / 275{390-500} meters worsted; 400{550, 700} yards / 370{500, 640} meters sport; 500{750, 1000} yards / 450{690-920} meters fingering.
- needles sized to match yarn - a long circular (60" is recommended, but 32" or longer will work)
- crochet hook for provisional cast-on
