quick knit that can be worn with the strap 4 different ways, with striped and cabled versions plus matching cabled cowl
- wear with strap loose, under the chin, behind neck so ears are covered, or fastened up on head
- bulky yarn and big needles make it quick
- cables are easy to work with no cable needle
- basic version is great for bulky handspun yarn
- or use multiple yarn strands held together
- the basic pattern is very beginner friendly
- tutorials included for jog-less stripes and cabling without a cable needle
- cables are charted only (not written)

you'll need:
- bulky or super bulky weight yarn (or finer weight with multiple strands held together) - basic hat: 85-100 yards / 75-90 meters; cabled hat: 100-150 yards / 90-140 meters; cowl: 140-165 yards / 130-150 meters
- size US 13 or 15 16" circular needle, sized to get gauge of 2.5 sts/inch
- 1 button for the hats
