Krewe by Lee Meredith
a decorative cowl inspired by beaded necklaces, in an airy drop stitch design
- knit with twisted and slipped stitches, striping between 2 colors
- columns of stitches are dropped at the end
- contrasting color can be changed throughout, or a self-striping or variegated colorway works well
- can be made as a scarf/wrap instead of cowl
- can be made in different weights for different looks
- can be made any width and any length
- designed for Infinite Twist kits
- Blur free mitts pattern was designed to use up the many colored leftovers
-
you'll need:
- DK weight yarn in 1 solid main color and 1 or more contrasting yarns; yardage estimates are for a cowl sized as the sample - use more or less yardage, and/or a different yarn weight, for a larger or smaller piece -- approx 135 yards / 125 meters main color; approx 145 yards / 135 meters total contrasting (sample is in Infinite Twist Helix, Dovecote main color, and approx 24 yards / 22 meters each of 6 contrasting colors: Sunflower, Nancypants, Marigold, Sakura, Meringue, and Ebi)
