Spiraling Stripes Hats by Lee Meredith

six variations on the spiraling hat design, with extra customization options for hat size, style, and striping patterns

• make it with a straight brim, a slanting brim, or no brim
• spiral clockwise or counter-clockwise for different looks
• a good introduction to short rows on a small scale
• use a striping yarn or make your own stripes
• worked entirely flat

you'll need:
• 90-140 yards / 85-130 meters worsted to aran weight yarn
• size US 9 needles, or sized to get gauge of 4.5 stitches per inch for the fitted size, 4 stitches per inch for the slouchy size
